My achievements enough to buy votes for PDP, says Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State is not bothered about the concept of enticing voters with money, boasting that the projects executed by his administration are enough to ‘buy’ the votes of the electorate in the 2023 general elections.

“When you are talking about vote buying, this is the vote buying; we are using our work for the people to support us. So, people should not bother themselves that people will carry money. We have used Ahoada dualisation and others,” Wike said on Wednesday during the commissioning of the dualised Ahoada-Omoku road in the Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.

He urged the people of the area to remain steadfast with his administration which has recognised them more than any other in the state.

The governor also warned against the encroachment into government right of way by property developers.

He, thereafter, announced the award of the construction of the second phase of the road which is not less than 18km to Omoku, an oil and gas hub of the state, before he commissioned the completed first phase of about 6.2km.
