People are now selling their Pokemon Go accounts on Ebay

People came up with a new way to cash in on the new Pokemon craze.

While some people offered to go out and collect Pokemon creatures for
cash, others are now offering to sell their entire accounts.

Players who want high-level trainers and specific rare or powerful
Pokemon with combat powers over 1,000 points, can now buy them on Ebay
for a lot of money.

These sellers promise the buyers defeat others in battle and take over
gyms without needing to walk the streets to catch any of them.

People are apparently willing to pay for the service.

One college student sold his Pokemon account for $1,500.

When advertising the item the seller wrote: “What you’re purchasing is
my account, into which I have put my time and effort. It makes this a
whole lot easier for you. I’m a broke college student in debt, and every
penny helps.”

However, this does not come without risk, as it may violate the Pokemon terms and conditions.

The buyers and sellers run the risk of having their accounts disabled as Niantic’s terms for Pokemon Go state in part:

“Use the Services or Content, or any portion thereof, for any commercial
purpose or for the benefit of any third party or in a manner not
permitted by these Terms, including but not limited to (a) gathering in
App items or resources for sale outside the App, (b) performing services
in the App in exchange for payment outside the App, or (c ) sell,
resell, rent, or lease the App or your Account.”
