Changes to ban on working under the sun

The ban on working under the sun between 12.00 and 16.00 will be valid on days when the air temperature rises to 40 degrees and above.

The ban on working under the sun between 12.00 and 16.00, which is valid as of August 4, has been arranged to be valid on days when the air temperature rises to 40 degrees and above from today until the end of the month.

The following statements were included in the decision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security published in the Official Gazette today:

Taking into account the danger of working under high air temperature within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety laws and regulations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, between August 19, 2022 and August 31, 2022, on days when the air temperature is 40 (forty) degrees and above, it is constantly exposed to the sun in the open air. In order to protect the health of working people, it is prohibited working outside (under the sun) between 12.00 and 16.00 based on the authority given to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security by Article 36 of the Labor Law No. 22/1992.”
